Welcome to the Telecompaper Mobile MVNO/SP List. This is a fairly comprehensive listing of MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) and mobile SPs in the world today, as well as relevant news. Where possible, the defunct or purchased entities are listed as well. MVNEs are listed by country after MVNO/SPs. See below for general MVNEs, a news archive, some MVNO resources, etc.

French retail group Auchan launched its mobile phone service over SFR's network on 16 October 2006. Auchan has a partnership with Comarch telecom for billing, customer registration, self care, deposit management and other services. In april the 18th 2008 Auchan entered the Italian market using Wind's network. In July 2013 Auchan announced that it plans to pull out of the mobile operator business at the end of 2013. In September 2013 Auchan has pulled out of the telecom market, selling its Auchan Telecom subsidiary to EI Telecom.

Aeroports de Paris subsidiaries Hub Telecom and Nomadvance have launched a business MVNO service under their Hub One brand through a partnership with MVNE Sisteer. Offering M2M services only such as tracking.
MVNO of French postal service La Poste.The MVNO is a 50/50 joint venture between La Poste and SFR.
LeFrenchMobile is a prepaid mobile service (MVNO) managed by Transatel (MVNE). Initially LeFrenchMobile was dedicated to English speakers coming to France for few days or weeks (as tourists, exchange students, seasonal workers or short term expatriates), providing competitive tariffs to communicate in France and internationally, but also providing all the customer experience in English (from the online order to the technical support). Since the 1st of March 2013, LeFrenchMobile SIM card has become an European SIM card offering a flat tariff to call from France or all over the 27 countries of the European Union, from EUR 0.19 per minute.
The Lebara Group is a telecommunications company providing services in many European countries.

Lycamobile offers prepaid SIM cards with reduced international calling rates, focusing on users who normally use calling cards to phone abroad. The company has set up MVNOs in the following countries: UK, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Portugal, Australia, Denmark, France, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Spain, Italy and recently US (March 2013) and Austria (November 2013), Tunisia (2015) and Romania (2015). Macedonia followed in 2016, and Lycamobile launched in Ukraine in July 2017. South Africa followed in 2019 and Uganda in 2020 It ceased its operations in Hong Kong in April 2018
Rebranded from budget Mobile is aimed at consumers based in France who regularly phone abroad. The host network is Bouygues Telecom.
Mobiho is a prepaid offer launched in France by Midi Telecom in late 2007. It provides a very easy to use Sim-pack with aggressive prices for international calls. It uses the services of MVNE Transatel Mobiho website no longer functional but Mobiho Essentiel still offers basic plans.

NRJ is the most popular radio in Belgium and France for young people (from 12 to 24-year old). NRJ Belgium launched its MVNO in February 2006 but is not active anymore. France’s NRJ Mobile has signed (September 2011) a full mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) agreement with leading operator SFR. Since Jan 2021 it belongs to Bouygues, after Bouygues bought its parent EI Telecom

French mobile and broadband operator SFR launched a new service under the "Red" brand in mid-October 2012, following similar moves by Bouygues Telecom with the B&You brand and Orange with Sosh. Red will not target the low-cost market but intends to offer lower prices to customers who agree to manage their service only over the internet

Orange France launched a new digital mobile brand for "ultra-connected" 18-35 year-olds called Sosh (abbreviated from "social") on October 2012. The completely digital mobile brand takes a community-based participative approach with three "no commitment" (tie-in period) offers.

Truphone focuses on its global network through its own network infrastructure (points of presence include: London, New York, Amsterdam, Sydney, California and Hong Kong) and partnerships with other operators. It offers an international multi-identity Sim which seamlessly switches to operate as a local Sim.
Vectone Mobile is a pre-pay service offering low call rates for local, national, and international calls, plus savings on SMS and roaming. Vectone Mobile is part of the Vectone Group of companies, owned by the Mundio Group In Sweden website automatically transfers to Lycamobile (Sep 18) In Czech Republic in November 2018 not possible to order Sim or recharge account, so assume stopped services. In Portugal stopped services in July 2018 Sep 19: Serbia website not working In Belgium stopped in July 2021
