Welcome to the Telecompaper Mobile MVNO/SP List. This is a fairly comprehensive listing of MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) and mobile SPs in the world today, as well as relevant news. Where possible, the defunct or purchased entities are listed as well. MVNEs are listed by country after MVNO/SPs. See below for general MVNEs, a news archive, some MVNO resources, etc.

88 mobile started as an MVNO, targeted at the Chinese community, on the T-Mobile network in august 2010.
AH Mobiel is sold in Albert Heijn supermarkets or top-up is also possible via bank/Giro. AH Mobiel offers handset included prepay packages and a SIM-only package.
In the beginning of 2008, T-Mobile Netherlands re-introduced the BEN brand after having folded the brand five years ago. Since the end of June 2013 BEN no longer provides prepapid services.

Emobiel is a service especially for readers of the journal Reformatisch Dagblad and the journal Terdege. Started as MVNO, since 2018 switched to reseller Vodafone subscriptions.

The Lebara Group is a telecommunications company providing services in many European countries.
Lycamobile offers prepaid SIM cards with reduced international calling rates, focusing on users who normally use calling cards to phone abroad. The company has set up MVNOs in the following countries: UK, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Portugal, Australia, Denmark, France, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Spain, Italy and recently US (March 2013) and Austria (November 2013), Tunisia (2015) and Romania (2015). Macedonia followed in 2016, and Lycamobile launched in Ukraine in July 2017. South Africa followed in 2019 and Uganda in 2020 It ceased its operations in Hong Kong in April 2018
The MVNO started in 2007 and was acquired by T-Mobile Netherlands in 2010. Simpel maintained its own management and structure within T-Mobile, and the managers have found financial backers to help buy out the company. From Augustus 2014 it became independent MVNO again and from December 2020 acquired by T-Mobile.
Pre-paid, low cost, SIM-only MVNO launched. Owned 100% by KPN Mobile. Started in Germany, later roll-out in Belgium, Netherlands, Spain and France. End of 2011 Simyo France was sold to Bouygues Telecom. In december 2012, Orange has completed the acquisition of Spanish MVNO Simyo. Orange will continue using the Simyo brand, and Simyo will continue operating as a MVNO on the Spanish market. In Germany Simyo stopped in July 2016. In Belgium Simyo ceased operations in June 2017 due to the prepaid registration law.
Business VoIP services provider SpeakUp has begun an MVNO.
Tele2 entered the Dutch market in 1997 as an alternative operator in the fixed line market and launched its mobile operations in 2001. From 2015 it became MNO in the Netherlands and from 2019 merged with T-Mobile.
Suriname incumbent operator Telesur MVNO on the Dutch mobile market. The company is targeting the 330,000 people from Suriname or with a Suriname background in the Netherlands. Telesur is working with the drugstore chain Kruidvat and Trekpleister for distributing its mobile services, and is using the MVNE Teleena for providing its prepaid services to customers.
Truphone focuses on its global network through its own network infrastructure (points of presence include: London, New York, Amsterdam, Sydney, California and Hong Kong) and partnerships with other operators. It offers an international multi-identity Sim which seamlessly switches to operate as a local Sim.
