Welcome to the Telecompaper Mobile MVNO/SP List. This is a fairly comprehensive listing of MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) and mobile SPs in the world today, as well as relevant news. Where possible, the defunct or purchased entities are listed as well. MVNEs are listed by country after MVNO/SPs. See below for general MVNEs, a news archive, some MVNO resources, etc.

In the USA T-Mobile US is selling Boost to Dish Network as part of the agreed conditions for regulatory clearance of its takeover of Sprint. Boost Mobile will continue to use the T-Mobile network under the seven-year agreement while Dish builds its own network

Google Fi, formerly Project Fi, is an MVNO telecommunications service by Google that provides telephone calls, SMS, and mobile broadband using cellular networks and Wi-Fi. Google Fi uses networks operated by Sprint, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular.
GreatCall is an MVNO that was founded in 2005 and provides service on Verizon's network. Phone plans are geared towards older adults and their family caregivers. The company also sells medical alert bracelets, and connected watches that allow their users to press a button for help
h2o Wireless is a United States-based prepaid GSM phone and mobile Internet service, utilizing the AT&T GSM 4G LTE network. It is a brand of mobile virtual network operator Locus Telecommunications, a subsidiary of Telrite Holdings, Inc. since 2019

The company has set up MVNOs in the following countries: UK, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Portugal, Australia, Denmark, France, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Spain, Italy and recently US (March 2013) and Austria (November 2013), Tunisia (2015) and Romania (2015). Macedonia followed in 2016, and Lycamobile launched in Ukraine in July 2017. South Africa followed in 2019 and Uganda in 2020 It ceased its operations in Hong Kong in April 2018

Belongs to broadband communications company and the second largest cable operator in the United States, Charter Communications. Spectrum Mobile counted around 1.1 million customers in March 2020

Parent company America Movil has roaming agreements in the USA with Allel/ AT&T Wireless/ Cellular One/ Cincinatti Bell Telephone/ Cingular Wireless/ Dobson/ Suncom Wireless/ T-Mobile/ TMP Corp
Truphone focuses on its global network through its own network infrastructure (points of presence include: London, New York, Amsterdam, Sydney, California and Hong Kong) and partnerships with other operators. It offers an international multi-identity Sim which seamlessly switches to operate as a local Sim.
Twigby allows customers to build their own phone plans to help them save money on their phone bills by not having plans larger than they really need.
Was bought by Red Pocket in 2019 but continues under its own name
Prepaid MVNO with focus on young consumers and content and media.
Started as a brand from T-Mobile, was bought by Tracfone in 2016. At time of sale Walmart Family Mobile accounted for around 1.4 million customers
Xfinity Mobile is available to Xfinity Internet customers. Allows family/friends to share data allowance.
